The tricky passages of the Croatian coast (Ždrelac, Tisno, both Proversas, the Krka up to Skradin, Privlački gaz and the rest) are in the app as a hand-curated catalogue: 15 straits, 10 bridges.

On the chart each one carries a small tappable badge (a bridge or a narrows icon), the bridge deck drawn as a road-style line, and the advisory channel as a violet dashed line with its name written along it. Tap any of them for the full card:

  • what makes the passage tricky, in plain words, and practical advice (which side, current, when to wait);
  • least depth in the channel, with the source of that number;
  • for bridges: fixed or opening, clearance, length, width, opening schedule, with the source of the clearance figure;
  • your own 1 to 5 star rating with a note. Ratings stay on your phone. One tap sends yours to us by email, which is how the catalogue gets better.

The same numbers feed the route planner. A leg through a catalogued strait uses the declared depth (better than any coarse depth grid), and a bridge your mast cannot clear routes you the long way around, the whole island if need be.

Two that people ask about: the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Bridge in Dubrovnik has 49 m of clearance (the design figure is 50 m, the app carries the lower published number), so sailboats route up Rijeka Dubrovačka to ACI Dubrovnik without trouble. The Krka up to Skradin is buoyed and deep (7 to 11 m), but there is a 3.3 m shoal off the north shore at Rt Lukovo, just before the A1 bridge. Keep to the south side there.

Menu → Bridges & straits is the searchable list of all of them. Search matches strait and bridge names in English and Croatian. Rows with a warning badge carry data we have not fully verified yet. Treat them with extra respect, and see Contribute if you know the real numbers. Any strait can be switched off. Off means hidden from the chart AND ignored by route calculation.
